As the northernmost capital city sea port in Australia, the Port of Brisbane’s proximity to Australia’s major trading partners provides a strategic advantage that has seen it develop into one of the largest and fastest growing sea ports in the country.
Currently boasting 29 operating berths and over 7,500m of quayline, the Port of Brisbane caters to a wide range of industries through its container terminals, general cargo and motor vehicle facilities, dry-bulk, and wet-bulk terminals. Given ATC’s strategic location straddling the Brisbane River, and on the doorstep of Moreton Bay, the region is also home to a significant marina and shipyard industry. Luxury cruising vessels from around the world, transport vessels such as Brisbane’s City Cat’s, large cruise ships and Navy vessels are all berthed and maintained within ATC.
Major wharf operators such as DP World and Patrick, oil companies including BP, Caltex, Shell and Neumann Petroleum, bulk liquid handling operations such as Pacific Terminals, and marine refit centres like Rivergate and Brisbane Marine Industry Park have all taken advantage of ATC’s strategic location for marine related business.
