Boasting Australia's largest capital city airport in terms of developable land, Australia TradeCoast is quickly becoming one of the country's most significant aviation and aerospace hubs.
With dedicated precincts for terminal operations, general aviation, air cargo, maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO), and aviation related education, as well as supporting infrastructure such as the newly opened Novotel at Airport Village, Brisbane Airport is now a truly world class Airport City.
Brisbane Airport has also developed into a major Australian hub for aviation defence projects, with assembly of the Tiger Attack Helicopter and MRH-90 Tactical Transport Helicopter, along with the Australian Conversion Centre for delivery of the Air Force’s KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport Aircraft all located within the region. As a result of these projects Airbus Military, one of the world’s largest defence companies, along with its subsidiary Australian Aerospace, now have a major presence within Australia TradeCoast.
Along with these major defence companies, commercial airlines such as Qantas and Virgin Blue, charter operators including Alliance Airlines, and Cargo Terminal Operators such as Qantas Freight and Menzies Aviation are tenants of Brisbane Airport.
