On 3 April, Australia TradeCoast was pleased to promote the ATC region to a delegation of 16 senior business and government leaders from Auckland.

The delegation, led by the Mayor of Auckland, the Honourable John Banks, visited Brisbane to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the Brisbane/Auckland Sister City Relationship.

Australia TradeCoast General Manager, Brett Fraser said the mission reinforced the trade and investment ties between Brisbane and Auckland.

“It is always a privilege to welcome international delegations, particularly one from our neighbours in New Zealand,” Mr Fraser said.

“The delegation’s visit to ATC as part of their Brisbane tour provided a great opportunity to showcase the ATC model and demonstrate how well-placed Brisbane is when it comes to providing world-leading trade opportunities.”

Following discussions with members of the delegation, ATC is now working actively on strategic initiatives with Auckland to grow opportunities between the two regions.
