However, the findings from the recent survey undertaken by Australia TradeCoast Limited reinforced the need to continually improve the region's connectivity especially by road, in order to maintain ATC's competitive advantage now and into the future.
The world-class road infrastructure that has recently been completed within the ATC region includes:
New road infrastructure is planned with the completion of the Airportlink toll road in 2012 and the expansion of the Port of Brisbane Motorway. The upgrade of Kingsford Smith Drive, from Harvey Street to Theodore Street, is expected to be completed in mid-2011. No decision has yet been made on the preferred option to upgrade Kingsford Smith Drive from Theodore Street to Breakfast Creek Road.
